Ode to the "Thong"!

What can we say...
such a marvellous thing,
A flat bit, a strap bit and
Oh, how they 'sing'!

They flip and they flop,
sometimes they squeak,
they slip and they slide
and often they reek!

From beachs, with rocks,
and paths in the mud,
we wear them on grass
and rivers in flood.

From sunrise to sunset,
all of most days,
we wear them with pride
our toes, sometimes graze.

Thongs to the shower,
the only way to go,
protects us from bugs,
or we might lose a toe!

We've been through five pairs,
worn out and split,
We've super-glued some
and Jed's are just about 'it'.

Havianas or "Woolies",
any brand will do,
but "Hooray" for the thong
A big thankyou to you!

One of the 5 pairs of thongs that we have had to discard!!
