Would you like a beach hut on the Portsea coast for $600,000.00? Or a mansion for $26,000,000?
All nice scenery, close to Melbourne, neighbours probably drive a bmw too... and have a Porsche as the weekender, but there's more to life than this!!

We caught the ferry from Queenscliff to Sorrento on Sunday, 13th Feb. This saved us having to tow the van through Melbourne. This was all very easy - drive up through the ticket area, get told where to park, buy a coffee, get back in car and drive on to ferry (2nd car in, vans at the front)and then walk up to ferry seat for ride across Port Phillip Bay.

'Searoad' ferry that we travelled on, in Sorrento |
It is a very busy stretch of water and during our trip across we saw the Spirit of Tasmania heading out of Melbourne and a cargo ship heading in.

The vehicle in front of us was another caravan - belonging to a couple who had only 6 months left of travelling around Australia, of their two and a half year trip! Mary and Robin were a great couple, we chatted with on our ferry ride, and who would also be arriving at Inverloch, our destination, a couple of days after us! Who knows, we may take them up on their offer to put up the camper in their backyard in Townsville! I don't think it will be this trip tho' as they're not home 'til end July, and we plan to be in NT by then.
